and Disclaimer of Liability
I have
read and understand the Notice of Race for the UK Sonar National Championships
2012 and agree to be bound by their contents. I am fully aware and conscious of
the actual and potential risks involved in engaging in active water sports and
that I and my crews’ physical safety could be endangered by the actions or
in-actions of other competitors, the organisers and the Race Committee.
I further
accept full responsibility for the seaworthiness and safe navigation of my boat
and its crew who shall use their own judgment whether to start, continue or
retire from a race in the existing or forecast conditions. To the extent
permitted by law, I therefore understand and accept that the UK Sonar
Association and the Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club and their race
officers, the sponsor and their representatives, jointly and severally, shall
not be liable for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever arising
directly or indirectly from their rules, policy or rulings during the races or
related activities. Before racing I shall ensure that there is adequate
insurance for racing risks including third party indemnity of at least £2
million and that my co-owners and co-helms, if any, and the crew are made aware
of the undertakings in this declaration.
The act
of returning this form electronically shall be deemed to signify acceptance of
the Declaration and Disclaimer of Liability
